Well boys & girls did we enjoy that?
I certainly did , great debut for Luke with the lads , they rocked The Borderline. 9 new songs and 4 from FHFF some crackers there , can't wait for the new cd now. Good to see the venue full and rockin' also meeting up with old V6 friends.
Special mention for The Treatmernt who were excellant support on the night.

Tour dates coming up soon ...don't miss them

Oh yes we most certainly did enjoy it! :D

Well done to Luke, Henry's a very VERY hard act to follow but Luke did brilliantly. Loved all the new stuff but wish there'd been a lot more of the older ones too although it was good to hear I Am The Sun again :)

Great venue and good to see it so packed, Roger you were right about The Treatment, thought they were excellent.

And btw Kath, will get back to you as soon as I get home (no FB at work) ;)

I enjoyed last night. The atmosphere was great and the band were very good. The new direction is interesting. Henry had a very distinctive voice which gave Voodoo Six a very individual sound as well as the band being a very good metal band. I'll be watching and listening with interest to see what happens next.

Three reasons to get out tonight , The Borderline refurbished and open for business. the return of Voodoo Six to the live stage, and the live debut for singer Luke Purdie. Lots of anticipation in the air tonight for this event and in my opinion the boys done good.

First up are some young lads based in Cambridge called The Treatment, managed by Laurie Mansworth of Airrace and current recordings being engineered by V6's own Tony Newton. I remember this band in their previous guise of Godsacksman when they supported V6 in Wolverhampton on the last tour. They have cleaned up their technique and overall sound and boy did they rock. Raw like Heavens Basement with the energy of GnR when they first burst on the scene, the crowd seemed to enjoy the set they played.

Voodoo Six hit the stage with an oldie 'Faith' and soon hit the ground running. Luke growling out the lyrics and Chris & Matt on twin lead guitars playing the melody before Grav & Tony thunder in the background power base of the song. All 5 of the new songs on the ep were played as well a new song that was on the last tour 'Killer' , revamped for Lukes voice. Of the older songs we all know, we had Faith, No Friend, Feed My Soul, and the wonderful 'I Am The Sun'. The boys finished with the excellant new song off ep 'Long Way From Home'
The full Borderline were enjoying the balls to the wall sound now that V6 possess and I think strengthened again by Luke's addition to the family.
3 songs not yet available to the public were played as well tonight and they sounded awesome. I managed to film 12 of the 13 songs played and on brief viewing this morning , it looks quite good although the sound is a wee bit fuzzy in parts due to filming location .

Setlist:
Faith/Where You Want Me/Killer/No Friend/Live Again/Something For You/Take The Blame/Feed My Soul/Body And Soul/I Am The Sun/Like The Others Did/Doing Me Wrong/Long Way From Home
